- You can go home after several hours
- You can shower the next day
- There is only mild pain that is mostly gone by the next day and easily controlled with oral pain medicine
- Typically, patients have minimal or slight bruising
- Patients should plan to have a few restful days after surgery
- You can resume many activities within the first week, and most exercise after three weeks
- Sexual activity may need to be restricted for up to three weeks. Based on the specifics of your procedure, Dr. Pittman–Waller will give you personalized instructions
